Why Meditate?  What's in it for me?

There are many reasons to meditate but at first, to the mind, meditation can seem like an odd idea because in meditation there is nothing for the mind to do or achieve. And so consider this:

If you heard that buried treasure lay hidden close within your grasp – how long would you wait to discover it, before giving up and making busy elsewhere?

This question, asks us to approach the discovery within meditation with openness and curiosity; especially when the mind might want to move you
onto other thoughts, ideas and distractions.

What does the buried treasure look, sound and feel like when you
find it?

This, of course varies as we all discover our own unique gems.  Research shows the benefits include, lowered stress, greater acceptance of ourselves and others, increased feelings of well-being and contentment and one of the most magical - The space required to move beyond challenging feelings and problems; out of which new opportunity, creativity and success grow.
