Influences, Models and Theories
I have had training and development in a wide range of psychological models, theories and approaches
and draw upon influences from ACT, NLP, archetypal psychology, the deeper realisations of the Enneagram, mindfulness
practices and the cutting edge work of consciousness teacher Dr Richard Moss, with whom I study as a mentor. www.richardmoss.com It was through the experience of many psychological
models that I knew they are sometimes limited in their effectiveness. We all form habits, recurring thoughts, feelings and behaviours; many of which are limiting
to us and our relationships. They keep us closed in important areas of life but so often we fail
to realise it is our own psychology, that is creating and perpetuating the things that hinder us.
So its very easy to try to find an answer through the psychology
that created the suffering in the first place - An approach that everyone, with or without a psychological background, can
understand doesn't work. Arriving at this conclusion I developed no monkey mind.
When the mind is whirring around with its problems, anxieties, stress,
concerns, regrets of the past and future hopes, dreams and apprehensions, the only intelligence that can dissolve
and go beyond these is Awareness and this is a part of the deeper teaching I offer. At our deepest level,
every human being is greater than our thoughts, emotions and psychology. It is from this point that we move beyond the psychological
conditioning and patterns that create unhappiness.
As
a teacher, I use a variety of humanistic approaches, with a fun, informal and easy to connect to style and practice my
own path in Awareness. My approach to coaching is simple and intuitive, based upon non-judgment, reflective questioning
and listening, and all of the things I recommend to others, I use myself.
I live in Brighton, England.
