Welcome amigos!
This months blog offers an interesting technique for healing, to lessen and change our relationship
to pain.
Of course, at one level we have a physical body but
like me you may have realised a long time ago that we are not just made up of the physical. And that what appears solid,
unmoving and unchanging is in fact the complete opposite.
I remember a
talk Deepak Chopra gave in London 15 years or so ago. And how amazed I was to learn about the changing nature
of our bodies; how they appear solid and fixed and yet they are ever changing and what we mistake for solid matter
is really waves of energy, moving incredibly fast.
In his own inimitabel
style he explained how quickly we as energy change. That we have an entire new body every year, a new stomach
lining every 5 days and that our DNA doesn't even stay the same. To the rational, logical mind this seems a nonsense but of
course this is the trap of the rational, logical mind.
I look at the
boyhood scars on my knees - The result of mishaps in playing and falling. I still recall the memories of going to the
emergency room to have the wounds stitched and those scars are still with me today. And so the rational mind can't work this
out and simply cannot beleive that in the years between I have hundreds of complete new skins.
The accepted quantum science view is that everything is made up of energy, whirring around
so incredibly fast that it looks solid. Perhaps an easier way to view this is to realise that the speed we are talking about
is akin to something like travelling 8 times around the planet in a second!
So
ask yourself, what does energy moving that fast look like? Solid, permanant and unmoving!
What isn't known of course is why we keep the scars of old? Perhaps one day, we will establish this if
we journey far enough into understanding the unconscious mind and the relationship it has with bringing our past into
our now.
